The 2012 OMP VAF Drive has ended!

2012-07-28 · rumor

Our OMP VAF Drive has ended and it is sort of a Good news/Bad news
  story.

The bad news is that we came woefully short of our goal (in fact
we didn't even make it to the first special boot tier) and 3K outdid
  us by a wide margin.

The good news is that $4005 is still nothing to sneeze at and we're
grateful to those that were able to contribute. Etah and I were
talking about the fact that we both feel terrible that one of your
2010 wishes remains unfulfilled. You wished for a new or recoded
guild and while both Marines and Witches are well underway, both
are way behind schedule. So far behind schedule that we delivered
your 2011 wishes while waiting on this one to be ready. I am confident
that one if not both guilds will eventually be open but in the meantime,
we thought you deserved some type of compensation for being so patient
  with us.

To compensate, we are going to grant one mini-wish this year. It is
essentially just like a typical wish, only smaller. We'll conduct the
same process of gathering wishes, filtering out some ideas, then posting
the candidates for your vote until a winner is chosen.

  What does "mini" mean?

Well, that's hard to say definitively. It means that the project is
relatively easy to code from a time and effort perspective. Etah and I
will use this loose criteria to narrow down the candidate list.

So start thinking about what you might like to see in a mini-wish.
Feel free to talk about it on COT or here on our gossip line. I'll
post a timeline and more details in the near future.
